The brilliant make-up artist, Ariane Poole, gives us her top tips on make-up for the wedding season. Whether you're a guest, like model Rosie Huntington-Whiteley pictured left, bridesmaid or bride, read on to find out how to look your best on the big day.

Ariane says: "First and foremost you must not try to out shine the bride. This goes for hair and make-up as well as clothing. First check with the bride whether there is a theme to the wedding: stately home, beach, etc. Of course I am not suggesting that you tone down your make-up if you are someone who is always seen in red lipstick or smoky eyes. But you will stand out like a sore thumb if you are in a full evening make-up at a beach wedding."
