We all know summer skin smoulders with sexiness when it's kissed with a delicate shimmer, but with so many shimmers on the shelves, it's hard to know where to begin! That's where we come in. MAC Strobe Cream

'The ultimate pick-me-up, this lightweight, iridescent cream was quick and easy to apply, leaving my skin soft and nourished as well as radiant. It adds definition, provides a natural, healthy glow and looks great with a tan. Works well as an all-over body shimmer or a highlighter for the cheeks and brow bones. What's more, it doesn't transfer onto clothing – which is an absolute must for me. I loved it!'

Molton Brown Heavenly Gingerlily Soft Body Shimmer
 
'I haven't used any products by Molton Brown before, so I was looking forward to trying this shimmer powder. It's heavily scented with exotic gingerlily, so if you're not a fan of that smell (like me!), I wouldn't recommend this item. But I did love the packaging – the nifty design makes it a great little product for handbags and travel whilst the integral soft brush ensures easy, even application. Left my skin with a subtle, golden, glamorous shimmer.'

Nuxe Huile Prodigieuse Or Dry Oil Golden Shimmer
 
'This is one of my favourite summer beauty buys - a gorgeously shimmery dry oil packaged in a chic little bottle, it's super easy to use and quickly absorbed, resulting in a subtle but noticeable sheen. It can even be used on hair to give your locks a sexy, summer glow, and the beautifully-beachy scent makes this a perfect item for this season. An all-round, lovely product.'

Becca Fiesta Bronzing Dust
 
'Encased in an incredibly chic black and silver pot, this fine, lightly pigmented powder comes with a cute puff for application – although this means that achieving an all-over shimmer can take a very long time and proved quite tricky! This product is ideal if you're looking for a hint of sunkissed shimmer on areas such as the face or décolletage, but I wouldn't recommend it for a top-to-toe glow.'

Dior J'adore Shimmering Dry Perfumed Body Oil
 
'I love Dior products and use their foundation often, so I was sure this shimmer was going to prove a favourite. With a sugary-sweet, floral scent, this dry oil spray comes in a truly elegant glass amphora-bottle with champagne-gold lid that would look great on any dressing table. Although it appears to be really shimmering in the bottle, this oil actually creates a very subtle shimmer when applied, and left my skin feeling silky-smooth. Looks and feels just as great on hair.'
