Spring has sprung and what better way to celebrate than with a pop of pretty eyeshadow. Colour lover and Editorial Assistant, Natalie Glock, tested out the best shades of the season.

Shiseido Languid Lagoon - beauty tried and tested Shiseido Hydro Powder Eyeshadow in Languid Lagoon

Beautiful, marbled packaging for this small shadow. Colour is vibrant and eye-catching and made me instantly feel like summer! Its creamy texture left an attractive glistening gleam and the brush made application very easy without too many layers needed.

Nars Duo Eyeshadow - beauty tried and tested Nars Duo Eyeshadow in Sea, Sex and Sun

Chic, textured packaging  with generously sized colours and mirror. Delicate, smooth and matt finish with no clogging or sitting in creases. The shades are subtle so needed a few layers to build up colour and no as daunting as they look! They are actually fresh and light the really last and look great.

Lancome Ombre Absolue eye shadow - beauty tried and tested Lancome Ombre Absolue in Le Grand Blue

Small, individual shadow but perfectly formed. It's a smooth, dense colour that is easy to apply with the double-ended applicator provided; a couple of swipes are all it takes. The deep, denim blue is gorgeous, perfect for a post winter pick-me-up. And the six-hour claim is also true as the rich colour lasted all day with only very slight touch-ups needed - I loved it!

Organic Glam Plum eyeshadow - beauty tried and tested Organic Glam Eye Shadow in Plum

Great size packaging with handy mirror. The soft, mineral finishes blended beautifully with hints of shimmer that lifted them above plain and matte. The pigments were strong enough to wear just one layer and the colours were perfect for a pretty, spring time look.

Dior Backstage Eye Show eyeshadow - beauty tried and tested Dior Backstage in Pink Wannabe

Really liked the attractive clear pot, bit like an ink-well. Creamy texture but not too thick and turned to powder on the lids so it was easy to apply although did need a few applications. The light, pretty pink colour lifted the eyes with a touch of sparkle. Unlike a lot of cream shadows, this lasted all day and didn't sit in creases so I'm very impressed.
£17.50, available nationwide
