London Fashion Week 2011 backstage blogs - MAC for Teatum Jones
M.A.C Senior Artist, Cher Webb, blogs exclusively for handbag.com from backstage from the Teatum Jones S/S 2012 Presentation.
The backstage atmosphere at Teatum Jones is electric, while the MAC Pro Team are busy creating make-up magic! The inspiration has been taken from a '50s look. This woman is very graceful and proud.
This make-up look is linked to the kind of make-up worn by women who leave all their worries at the door, leaving the house with their head held high. Think Kate Winslet in Revolutionary Road.
Firstly, we prepped with a facial massage using the M.A.C Care Blend Oils to instantly boost the skin.
M.A.C Lip Conditioner was used on the lips to nourish and treat. Lashes were then curled and lashings of Mac Plush Lash Mascara were applied into the roots of top and bottom lashes with a disposable wand to evenly spread each lash to a fanned out shape.
We used Gently Off Eye Makeup Remover under the eyes to clean up any messy areas, and M.A.C Studio Finish Concealer was used under eyes and around the nose to cover any redness.
Mac Studio Sculpt Foundation was applied with fingers and melted into the skin.
M.A.C Brow Set Brow Gel was applied to finish the brows, and a cream colour base in Cake Mix (launching in 2012) was used all over the eye lid.
We used Glam Glass Lipglass (launching in 2012) as a subtle highlight on the higher temples and cheekbones to give these areas a beautiful sheen.< Prep and prime powder were then used to set the skin.
Finally MAC Pro Longwear Lip Pencil in Lasting Sensation was applied all over the lips with Watch me Simmer Lipstick on top, and a touch of Mac Lip Conditioner was added to give a plump effect.
