M.A.C Senior Artist, Cher Webb, blogs exclusively for handbag.com from backstage from the Erdem show

I woke up to the sun shining which was a great start! Day 4 and I'm feeling tired but also looking forward to Milan...When can I pack?

I arrive at the backstage area for Erdem which is being held at the Savoy hotel. Very pleased to see a whole floor for make-up and hair - what a treat! With 30 models to prepare, I hoped the calm atmosphere would last, but with models turning up late and only 10 mins left until showtime the atmosphere remained chilled with no panic which was great - and very unusual!

The inspiration for the beauty look was gorgeous, feminine French chic. Inspiration came from the film In the Mood for Love by Wong Kar-Wai. This woman is in the mood for love and feels sexy, she is girly, feminine, young, super chic and polished. She is wearing her mothers old clothes as she hops on her boyfriends Vespa in Capri.

We started by preping the skin with M.A.C Studio Moisture Fix then applied a light amount of M.A.C Face and Body Foundation. M.A.C Moisture Cover Concealer was used under the eyes to wake up the eyes and brighten the skin.

On the cheeks we applied a gorgeous new product for S/S 2012 M.A.C Tendertones in Hot and Spicy, this was tapped on to achieve a light, fresh, watercolour-like, transparent tint. M.A.C Prep and Prime Transparent Pressed Powder was used to set around the nose area, and lashes were curled and M.A.C Plush Lash Mascara was applied to top and bottom lashes.

M.A.C S/S2012 lipstick in Scarlet Ibis was applied all over the lips and diffused out to the lip line, so that it would resemble more of a stain from the lipstick from the night before. M.A.C Pro Basic Red Pigment was dabbed all over the lips on top of the lipstick, but focused more on the center to give a matt effect. M.A.C Vellum Eyeshadow was applied on the cupids bow. To finish the look, M.A.C Lip Conditioner was applied to the eye lids to add texture.

I really enjoyed this show, the girls looked fresh, carefree and super-chic.
