Gucci Westman and Revlon recreate Temperley's beauty look
Earlier today, I was lucky enough to spend time with Gucci Westman, creative director of Revlon, recreating the make-up she worked on the models at last nights Temperley show.
She initially brushed a light dusting of foundation on the skin and then got to work on the eyes where she gave the old-school smoky eye a makeover. The base was a silvery grey and this was topped off with a deeper shade of purple and black Gucci advises when re creating this look, the key is in the blending. Eyes were lined with black kohl, cheeks were given a peachy flush of colour, brows were filled in with brown shadow and lips were stained with Revlons Just Bitten Lipstain by Color stay. Now this is what I personally got very excited about. I am in love with lip stains as they give you a dramatic opaqueness sans any stickiness and gloss. Also they have great staying power. (Gucci said this stopped her from panicking when her models began eating backstage - yes, shock horror, they eat). The only downside I have found with lip stains is they tend to be quite drying. Revlon, however, solve this problem with their revolutionary 2-in-1 version - the other end of the colour is a protective Vitamin C balm which you can apply beforehand. So there you have it, the perfect lip stain. It comes in seven gorgeous shades ranging from pretty pinks to deep berries and is bound to become a make-up bag staple. Only trouble is, its not available until June. In the meantime, check out what else is in the Revlon range and as soon as we can well have some pictures for you from the Revlon masterclass with Gucci Westman.
