MAC backstage at Maria Grachvogel Autumn/Winter 2012

MAC blog day 1

MAC Senior Artist, Cher Webb brings us all the info from backstage at London Fashion Week

We only had two hours to get the models ready today, which would normally create a very tense and stressful environment, but surprisingly, the atmosphere is incredibly calm and everyone is in very good spirits. This is definitely a good sign for my first show at London Fashion Week...let's hope it’s a trend that will continue.

Today's look was created by the incredibly talented Mel Arter. The inspiration was a nod to the ‘20s woman which was quite a soft take on an androgynous look.

New MAC Sculpting Cream (coming soon!) in Coffee Walnut was blended all around the socket and M.A.C Coffee Eye Pencil around the shape of the eye. Red and Maroon MAC Pigments were mixed with a tiny bit of lip conditioner and pressed into the lip to create a red wine stain.

No mascara was used on the lashes and we toned down eyebrows with concealer to give the eyes more of a punch. We used MAC Moisture Cover Concealer, buffed into the skin with a #224 brush to give a radiant, clean finish which was then perfected with MAC Prep and Prime finishing powder on the t-zone.
