MAC backstage at Louise Gray
Neil Young, M.A.Cs Senior Artist brings us all the info from backstage at London Fashion Week
I'm backstage at Louise Gray which is my last show today. I've been up since 4am, so it's been a long day, but at least I get to work with James O'Reily, who I love and he is keying the show which more than makes up for it!
James has created a beautiful, dreamy watercolour like make-up. Colour that starts around the eye and spills onto the cheekbones and up on into the temple.
The rest of the face was kept bare and simple with brown mascara used on top and bottom lashes to enhance the eyes.
The inspiration of the look was washy watercolour paints, whereby you could still see the canvas under the paint. James wanted to create the same thing, with the skin as the canvas, and the results were amazing!
Using MAC Pro airbrush paints in primary colours, mixed together to make secondary colours, and pastel colours. It definitely had the rainbow effect and everyone loved it! Its great when you get to work with so much colour in one sitting. The girls looked incredible and so far this has been one of my favourite looks this season!
