on trial glitter eye liners
The trick to applying glittery eye liner is to not draw the brush along the lash line as you would usually, but to place the brush on and then move it across applying as you go. This results in a stronger, more even application of the glitter otherwise they can look patchy and lacklustre. We tried out the latest in glittery eye liners in all their forms but here are our top five... go forth and glitter, girls!
\r\n\r\n\"These gel glitter eye liners were really easy to apply, thanks to the super-fine brush, and they were so budget-friendly that you can invest in a few of the rainbow colours for the party season. I tried the \'ripped\' purple shade on a night out which made a great change to my usual black liquid liner. The glitter stayed put all night and I was showered with compliments, I\'ll definitely be wearing this well into the new year.\"

\"The thin brush of this eye liner means it is perfect for precision lining around the lashes. I tried shade 01 - a clear gel with multi coloured flecks of glitter - over a nude eye but found it a tad underwhelming. Instead I lined my eyes with a thick, black kohl and painted over it from the inner to mid-way along the lash line for a subtle but still festive effect.\"

\"When I think of glittery eye liners I often think of liquid liners, so it was refreshing to test a pencil. What I loved most about this liner was that it\'s mess free. Lines are easy to do, you can also fill in your entire eye lid easily and this silver glitter was subtle yet still visible. I think that this is the perfect option for those that don\'t often wear glitter and want to shy away from that OTT sparkly finish. I will definitely be keeping this in my make-up bag all Christmas long.\"

too faced metal eyes glitter eye liner
\"This glitter eye liner should be the choice of those who usually break out in a sweat at the thought of using glitter in their beauty routine. Instead of big flecks of glitter it has a subtle iridescent glitter shimmer that, when the right shade is chosen, really highlights and complements eye colour. The Brown Sugar shade made my blue eyes pop and Twilight is a fantastic inky blue/purple that would wow on green and brown eyes. The liner stayed put all night yet came off easily with water so be warned if you plan on getting all hot and sweaty on the dancefloor.\"

\"These large glitter-filled liners are not for the faint of heart. With the biggest particles of glitter of all the liners we tried they really were the party favourite. When daubed along the lash line they leave an even sparkly finish to highlight the eyes - the Baked colour looks particularly great against blue eyes. Once dry the glitter stayed put but came off easily with cleanser. Having showgirl fantasies I played with this liner covering my entire eye lid in the sparkly gel and after a couple of coats I looked ripe for a role in the Moulin Rouge - a spectacular party make-up trick.
\r\n\r\nOne word of warning though, do not attempt to take this off in a drunken state as you will end up with glitter everywhere. One clean sweep with the cotton pad and cleanser will do the job nicely though.\"
