It's that time of year again - the UK's biggest fashion event is soon to land on London's trendy ‘ol doorstep and boy are we excited! London Fashion Week will start on the 16 September and will see top designers showcasing their sought-after spring/summer 2011 collections. Not only do fashion editors from every publication and website worth their weight attend shows, but numerous celebrities grace the front rows - last season saw Gwyneth Paltrow, Kirsten Steward, Victoria Beckham Kanye West to name a few - and us beauty journalists brave the heat, wrath of the make-up artists and crowds to report backstage. It's tough but somebody's got to do it!
With Somerset House now the official venue for the second season and numerous other secret Central London locations waiting on tender hooks to host some of fashions most prestigious designer shows, it's set to be a busy five days. We are already putting in requests for show access and hoping to work with bigwig make-up brands such as Benefit and MAC.
Last season handbag.com went backstage with House of Holland and PPQ, plus watched shows such as Topshop Unique, Richard Nicoll, Vivienne Westwood, Paul Costelloe and more.
