Sneak peek: New York Fashion Week
There are only three more days to go until I will be bracing myself backstage at London Fashion Week and these images from New York Fashion Week certainly got me in the ‘backstage’ mood. As soon as this email pinged into my inbox I knew I had to share – Tom Pecheux worked with Estée Lauder to produce the stunning make-up look for the Derek Lam show. Tom used Estée Lauder lipsticks and lip liners on the eyes to create this block of pink colour which looks très chic - even though pink anywhere near eyes is so often a no, no, no! If you do want to try the trend pre-spring, keep the pink shade strong and bold with hints of coral undertones so as to avoid looking like you’ve been heavily crying (don’t try this with red shades!). Oh and if you’re interested – like me – on how they got the model’s perfectly flawless and matt complexion, Tom used the Double Wear Light Stay-in-Place Makeup and the Lucidity Translucent Loose Powder. Both now firmly on my wish list.
