Rock n roll chic
Smoky eyes and a sexy pout is still the look du jour of rock chicks everywhere and there is no other celeb who embodies this look more than Kate Moss. If you've outgrown the Boho Chic look and want to update it, this is good for you, says top make-up artist Claire Rose from Pout (www.pout.co.uk). The key to this look is glowing skin otherwise the dark eyes and pale lips will make you look like the ghost of Christmas past. Choose a pale grey and a dark grey for the eyes and max up the sex appeal with a black eyeliner drawn all around the eye. To tousle the hair, Tip your head forward and rake through a texturising spray on the midlengths and ends, says celebrity hairdresser Andrew Collinge.
Prom party girl
For a feminine yet seductive look go with glossy hair and peachy skin á la Miss Mischa Barton. This style is about looking healthy and like yourself, only better. Best of all, this look suits everyone. This is a great day-to-night look and so easy to pull off, says Claire. Flatter your eyes with pastel shades and keep skin looking radiant with a shimmering bronzer. Lightly smudge brown eyeliner across the top lash line to define the eyes and bring out the pastel coloured eye shadow. Keep your lips soft and kissable with lip balm and a girlie pink lippy.
Retro glam
Just like ultra stylish Scarlett Johansson work your vintage party dress with a seductive retro style. Bold red lips, luminous skin and enchanting eyes are the alternative look for Christmas. If you're an English rose type, this is for you and if you're brunette think Audrey Hepburn, says Claire. Make sure your complexion is perfection with a good concealor and a light infused base. Apply a slightly darker lip liner than your lipstick to define the shape. Take your time, your lips can't be wonky or uneven, says Claire. Your hair is a crucial part of this look. Wide waves work perfectly on medium to long hair that has a few layers, says Andrew. Use a wide barrel tong or curlers, and a curl enhancing spray.
Disco Diva
Shimmer, shimmer then shimmy on the dance floor with the most sparkling party look. If, like Beyoncé Queen of Bling, you like a bit of glitter and glam and you have an olive or black skin tone, then this look is for you. Be careful though, you need to balance the twinkle with a matte base on your t-zone (forehead, nose and chin). The eyes are the key feature: bright, peacock metallic shades and long lashes You need to make the eyes stand out with mascara, says Claire. Hair has to be lustrous too, ensure your hair has bootylicious volume and shine with a finishing spray.
