Lily Allens ice maiden sparkly eyes
If you dont have much time on your hands and are going to a fancy dress party straight after work then this is the eye make-up to add for some glamorous fun. Debbie Finnegan is one of MACs senior make-up artist and she describes this look as ice chic, frosty Halloween eyes.
Difficulty rating: 3/5
1. Apply a good coverage foundation as a base for your Halloween look, MAC Studio Fix Foundation is quick, easy and flawless.
2. Set with MAC Blot Powder, an amazing oil absorbing product that keeps the skin matt for longer (the matteness of the skin is key to highlighting the metallic finish to the eyes).
3. To achieve the eyes, apply MAC Still Life Paint across the eyelid up towards the brow, this will give saying power and also intensify the colour of other products layered on top.
4. Next add MAC Electra eye shadow on the eyelid with a MAC #239 shading brush and use a patting motion to build the product over and also under the eye as low as you are brave enough to go.
5. Now apply MAC Cornflower Pigment through the socket line using a blending brush. A good tip is to place a tissue under the eye before doing this to catch excess product.
6. To give a frosty edge to the look add MAC Frozen White Pigment to the inner corner of the eye and the nose.
7. Finally, complete your look with MAC Phone Number Kohl Pencil on the waterline of the eye and lashings of your favourite mascara.

Lady Gagas futuristic Barbie doll make-up
Once youve sourced the wig for this look the make-up is relatively easy and the fact you get to wear dark sunglasses is surely a bonus. Carla Beever, makeupbycarla.co.uk , make-up surpemo for W7 make-up shares her step-by-step guide to recreating the look.
Difficulty rating: 2/5
1. First of all create a pale porcelain compexion to give that ghost-like look by going a shade or two lighter with your foundation. Matt the skin down with pale powder or use blotting paper to remove excess shine.
2. Use a concealer - I love the W7 Light Diffusing Concealer Pen (£4.95) - under the eyes to cover dark circles. Place a little concealer on your eyelid too and then with your ring finger lightly pat it on to cover any redness you might have.
3. W7s Black Liquid Eyeliner (£2.95) is perfect to create a sharp line on the top lashline. Do a slight cat eye - if you dare - then cover the lashes with two coatings of mascara to give that wide eyed Barbie Doll look.
4. Finish the eyes by using an eyebrow pencil to lightly draw feather-like lines along the hairs in the eyebrows to fill them in. Finish by spraying an old clean mascara wand with hairspray to stick the eyebrows in place.
5. Put a touch of pink Candy Floss Blusher (£4.95) by W7 on the cheeks and concentrate on the apples of the cheeks to give it a dolly feel.
6. Then for the ultimate Gaga style use your ring finger to press W7s Fuchsia Lipstick (£2.99) onto the lips so you dont have a defined lip line and it looks more like a stain than a lipstick. Blot then re-apply and then blot again in order for it to last longer.

Taylor Momsens extreme smoky eye
Gossip Girl Taylor Momsen may think this smoky eye make-up is for everyday but we happen to think this its perfect for playing dress-up. Add a black wig, something witchy or just wear with your normal get-up and you will scare the socks off the kids. Make-up supremo Daniel Sandler, danielsandler.com , told us how to get the look.
Difficulty rating: 2/5
1. Prep lids with a primer I would recommend the Daniel Sandler Retexturising Face Primer, this is essential because matt shadows are often hard to apply and difficult to blend. Dab it on clean, dry lids.
2. Then, starting on the upper lid, apply black matt eye shadow above the lashline going from the inner to outer lid area blending up to the socket, then sweep the brush all the way under the lower lashes blending downwards to create a round eye shape. Don't blend past the socket or up and outwards or you will create an almond shaped eye by mistake.
3. Intensify the look by repeating eye shadow application until the right density of colour is achieved.
4. Run a black waterproof eye liner pencil inside the lower inner eye rim then apply heavily along the upper and lower lashline and smudge with a small eye shadow brush. Re-apply the liner but this time dont smudge or blend.
5. Apply three coats of black mascara and apply a full strip of false lashes.
Daniels top tip: rest a clean tissue onto your cheekbone when applying eye shadow to catch any shadow that drops.

Dita Von Teeses retro make-up
Ditas pale skin and arched eyebrow combination can be taken to the extreme to create a slightly off the wall 1940s fancy dress look. Take the colour of your foundation down a notch and add some marcel waves to create the perfect party style. Amanda Bell make-up artist at PIXI Cosmetics told us how to get the look.
1. Complexion is the key to this look, it needs to be matt and flawless - use a primer with mattifying properties to keep the base pristine then choose a matt foundation like the Pixi Flawless Beauty Stick (£20) and use a translucent powder to set the make up for a seamless finish.
2. Cheeks are minimal, it is more about contouring the face, so apply a light blusher under the cheekbone and blend up into the hairline.
3. For your eyes use a bone ivory colour all over the lid and a soft white under the eyebrows to create the illusion of bigger eyes. Then take a camel colour across the lid into the crease of the eye, blending the shade upwards, this is all about a monochromatic look.
4. Now use a gel liner in inky black to create that perfect retro line - my favourite is the Pixi Gel Liner in Onyx (£14). Firstly have a cotton bud with a little eye make-up remover at the ready, so that you can easily whisk away any mistakes. Start at the inner corner of the eye with a thin line that literally hugs the lashline. At the very end flick out the liner towards the end of your eyebrow. Remove any excess with the cotton bud if necessary.
5. Add two coats of mascara and if you are feeling a little daring add extra definition to the lashline by adding about three individual false lashes to the outer corner.
6. For your brows simply fill in the small gaps with an angled brush using a matt shadow that matches your brows.
7. Finally, there is no reason why you can't create your own dark red lip by choosing your perfect red shade and then adding a slick of vampish burgundy gloss on top. Apply the first layer of colour, then blot and add a second layer. This look is all about precision, so start at the cupids bow, line the lips top and bottom and then fill in the colour.

Ke$has crazy blue star, Ke$ha, Ke$has makeup, celebrity halloween makeup
Create a futuristic blue star and lipstick combo a la Ke$ha and you will go from bland to Halloween glam instantly. Plus its easier than you might think as celebrity make-up artist Mathew Alexander, mathewalexander.co.uk tells us below.
Difficulty rating: 3/5
1. Firstly, start creating the star shape with a cream eye shadow base like the Shu Uemura Cream Eye shadow P Light Blue. Start at the lash line and brush outwards using a concealer brush to sharpen the edges of your shape.
2. Set this cream base using a powder eye shadow which will intensify the depth of colour and provide staying power. I would use the Chanel Soft Touch Eye shadow in either Bambou or Lagoon depending on your favoured shade of blue.
3. Use a fine eye lining brush and the Bobbi Brown Long-wear Gel Liner in Black to outline the star to define and refine your shape.
4. Apply layers of volumising mascara, my favourite at the moment is the Chanel Inimitable mascara in black.
5. Finally apply the blue lipstick, use the Shu Uemura Rouge Unlimited Silver 080. Blot, reapply and go. Voila!

Lara Stone glamorous Halloween updo
Pull out your show-stopping card with this wow factor hairstyle. Designed to make your friends jealous, show everyone at the party you have made an effort while still looking super sexy. Russell Stephens from Eleven Hair ( eleven-hair.com 020 74912390) shares with us his step-by-step guide.
Difficulty rating: 4/5
1. This is a glamorous yet edgy look for the truly dedicated, its not easy to achieve at home, youll need to enlist the help of a friend and definitely have a few trials before the big night. It will work best on hair that reaches past shoulder length, with medium thickness. Hair that is too thick will be too heavy for the look. You can either work with unwashed hair or hair that has been washed but not conditioned.
2. Hair donuts wont give you enough height for this look so the first step is to create your own hair rat - this is essentially a soft round ball that sits on top of the head and forms the foundation to the look. To make this, cut a leg off some old nylon tights, knot one end and stuff with more tights that you have roughly cut up.
3. The next step is to section your hair. Think of dividing your head into three horizontal layers the top takes hair from around the crown, for the middle section take the hair from above the ear and for the bottom section - from the ear to the nape of the neck.
4. Take the top section of hair, plait it and wrap it around into a bun shape before pinning into place. This needs to be secure as its the foundation of the whole look. Then place the hair rat youve made from tights on top of your bun and pin securely into place around the base.
5. The next stage is all about taking the remaining sections and using them to cover the bun so starting at the sides take pieces from the middle section of your hair, spray lightly with Redken Pure Force 20 hairspray, then using a tail comb backcomb the mid lengths before bringing it up and over the top of the bun, pinning into place on the other side.
6. Working from the same side of your head, continue covering your bun spraying hair as you go but be careful, youll need to hold the bun in place because the weight is all on one side at this point! (This is where your beauty buddy comes in handy!)
7. Repeat the steps from the other side of the head, but rather than taking the hair all the way over, tuck it into the top where it cant be seen. Then do exactly the same from the hair sections at the back of your head, backcombing them and pinning them over at the front.
8. You can tong any wispy ends around the head, and either leave them down to soften the look or loosely pin them in. Finish with an all-over spritz with a firm hold spray such as Redken Pure Force 20 and add extra shine with Redken Shine Flash 02.
