Celebrities may have embraced the pale lip trend, but we first spotted it on the Spring/Summer 2012 catwalks: Jonathan Saunders showed au naturel lips with feline eyes, as did Marc Jacobs. Prada models all sported minimal nude lips and subtle eye make-up, while the girls at Dolce and Gabbana had powder pink pouts for the full ‘60s bombshell look. We saw this trend out in force at the Golden Globes.
Glee star Lea Michelle walked the red carpet wearing an immaculate shade of nude lipstick. It was a peach-based nude, which was spot-on for Lea’s natural lip colour and worked perfectly with her skintone. A very natural nude lipliner had been used to prep Lea’s lips and final colour used was very matte – giving her a ‘60s look. She paired her pale pout with subtle grey liner and big, spidery eyelashes.
