Inspired by a more traditional approach to the facial, EF MediSpa have added the old-fashioned facial' to the treatment list, and I was lucky enough to test it out under the wondrous hands of the highly qualified Milena.
The facial consists of full extraction (yes, it's not very pleasant but it's good for you!), eyebrow tidying, eyelash tinting, a neck and shoulder massage (simply amazing by the way) and of course cleansing, masks and facial massage designed to lift the skin - perfect if you feel the chops are getting a bit droopy these days. Each facial is tailored to the individual's skin needs, as ever mine was dryer than the Gobi and so I was treated to the best in hydrating beauty products.
The EF MediSpa, Kensington blurs the lines between medical clinic and spa so don't expect any plinky-plonky music and candles but it does, however, boast London's most comprehensive menu of holistic and medical aesthetic treatments. Having said that the treatment rooms are calming in their sterility and the staff are welcoming and talented. Plus, when I left, sans any make up, my skin looked fresh and radiant and felt so clean I refused to wear make-up for days post-treatment. Which ultimately is what you want from a facial - skin so good you can go au naturel.
Also available at the moment is EF MediSpa's Christmas gift voucher. OK, this might be beyond the realms of possibility for most of us, considering that the majority of us aren't married to millionaires, don't have a trust fund we can plunder and aren't heading off shore to secure our big bucks bonus from the banks, however if you do fall into one of those categories a good way to spend a grand would be on the luxury £1,000 gift voucher. The rest of us should just be content with the good old-fashioned facial.
The facial costs £145 and lasts around 90 minutes, for more information on all the treatments available see www.efmedispa.com.
