Stella McCartney has relaunched classic perfume STELLA, 11 years after her first ever dabble in the fragrance world.
Why now? Why not, really. Is it the very same scent? Rose notes interlaced with sensual grey amber, yes.
Why should you revisit Stella's fragrance debut? That's an answer of many parts. Cue the list.
- Since launching in 2003, STELLA has become one of the best selling British fragrances ever. Now that's some testimonial.
- STELLA is the aromatic embodiment of Stella McCartney's signature feminine versus masculine contrasts. If you love that fashion attitude, you'll love this stand-off between delicate English roses and sexy grey amber.
- It's not an overpowering scent. Stella created the fragrance due to a lack of subtle, sophisticated fragrances in a world gone mad with overly sweet celebrity perfumes.
- Everyone needs a scent signature. If you loved it then, you're going to love it again.
"STELLA is a celebration of women, and Lara is the perfect representation," Stella told us, while discussing the relaunch campaign starring new mum and supermodel Lara Stone.
"In the world of beauty, there is often the idea that you have to be very young, I like that tiny bit of maturity that I think having a baby brought Lara.
"She brings the ideas of the fragrance alive in an honest way. She is a modern woman who is approachable and sensual at the same time."
The new-look STELLA Eau de Parfum and body lotion is currently exclusive to Harrods and harrods.com, priced from £42, before rolling out nationwide from 1 August.
