It looks like we're not the only ones swooning over Anne Hathaway's swept-over pixie crop at the 2013 Oscars, as celebrity hairdresser Jamie Stevens (also of X Factor fame) is a big fan too.

Talking about his favourite hairstyles from the red carpet, Jamie says, "Last night Anne channelled Audrey Hepburn with her gamine cut that shows off her gorgeous facial features and really shows how feminine and elegant shorter hair can be."

With that in mind Jamie shares his 3-step expert tips to recreate the short style at home...

STEP 1: Start by prepping the hair for maximum body and texture with a volumising product.

STEP 2: As hair begins to dry naturally finish blow-drying with a diffuser, using the hands to shape it into place.

STEP 3: Next, use a matt clay or wax to create definition, separation and texture such as Matrix Design Pulse Messy Couture and hairspray to hold.
