Festival fever has gripped us here at Handbag.com HQ and we've been on the look-out for the latest hair trend that will withstand the inevitable mud, rain and more rain!
Celebs like Miley Cyrus, Drew Barrymore, Hilary Duff, Nicole Scherzinger and Selena Gomez have all been papped wearing feather hair extensions, so we wanted in on the action!
We sent our intern, Sarah Jordan, to go to the Michael Van Clarke salon in London to have her very own semi-permanent hair extension fitted.
Four feathers cost £25 and you can choose from a variety of colours (Sarah went for neon blue and green). They last three months but you can have them taken out and put back in whenever you want!
Sarah said: "My technician, Anna McArdle, helped me pick the best colours and position for my hair extension. They are huge in the US and she's starting to see an increase in demand here in the UK now the festival season has officially started."
"There's no glue and no nasty chemicals involved either. The extension is clipped into your hair with a small metal ring so it doesn't cause any long-term damage."
But the best thing about these gorg extensions is that they can be straightened, curled, washed, conditioned and blow-dried without being damaged.
They work with your hair and not against it!
Sarah says: "I'm obsessed with my extension! It's comfortable, fun and easy to maintain and it's going to look great when I go to Latitude Festival in a couple of weeks."
"Experiment with two or three extensions for a more dramatic look."
