Jessie J did it, Miley Cyrus did it, Rihanna went for the chop last week and now Beyoncé has turned to super short hair too!
Even if you were paying zero attention, you'd probably still call this a trend right now.
So to help all you short haired ladies maintain that cute crop like an army of pros, we caught up with hairdresser Guy Cammarano, creative and education director at Regis Salons, to garner a few expert tips
So Guy, why do you think everyone's craving a crop right now?
A short, strong style is great way to make a statement about your personality; adding a touch of drama to your look every day.
We're scared of looking a bit 'butch'. Any advice there?
Despite what people may think, a super short crop can be incredibly feminine, highlighting defined cheekbones and framing the eyes. The key to keeping the look girly is to add movement through the cut with shorter layers and lines on top. A fringe will also bring this style to life.
So how should we style it, to really make it our own?
You can add versatility by sweeping it back into a quiff or to the side like Carey Mulligan for a glamorous evening look. With such a dramatic cut, any colour will look great, but for a truly head-turning style try pairing the crop with one of this season's stand-out shades, like an icy platinum blonde or raven red.
Any day-to-day tips for keeping it under control?
The best thing about the crop style is that you can spend as much or as little time on styling as you like. A good cut will mean you can simply blow-dry and walk out the door looking fabulous; or if you're heading to a party you can try sleeking the fringe back into a quiff and add definition at the sides by pulling the hair into a point. The quiff is a great way to update your look at the end of the working day, so you're ready to head straight out to the bars!
What do you think ladies? Even more in love with the look now?
