The Cebu City Zoo in the Philippines offers 15 minute turns with the snakes, where they are piled on top of brave folks and left to slither around for a while over their body, legs, back and even face.
Four pythons - Michelle, Walter, EJ and Daniel - are the masseuses, offering a combined weight of 550 lbs. To be fair, how could anything called Walter be scary.
"At first, visitors feel fear but most of the guests who try the snake massage say that they like it. It's like getting a hand massage," explains zoo manager Giovanni Romarate. "You get to enjoy the cold grip of our snakes."
Just like a hand massage.
As a safety precaution, the snakes are fed up to 10 chickens pre-massage so they won't be hungry during the treatment. What a relief.
