With Kate Middleton expected to give birth this week, Buckingham Palace has now confirmed the official title of the royal baby. They may or may not have been influenced by our baby name poll

Knowing the official title is almost, sort of, like knowing the first name, right?

The first born to the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge will take up the title of His or Her Royal Highness Prince or Princess of Cambridge – with the addition of their given Christian name. Which, sad face, hasn't been revealed yet.

Because apparently Kate and Will reeeeally don't know if they're having a girl or boy, but either way, the child will make history by being the first to hold the title.

That's according to former Cambridge mayor Cllr Sheila Stuart, who said, "When we did a lot of research after it was first announced that the couple were to get the title, nothing like that was found.

"There were some dukes of Cambridge but not a prince or princess. It can only be good news for Cambridge. Everyone is so excited about it. The whole country is waiting for the birth."

You bet we are, refreshing our Twitter feeds like it's a three-hour special of Made In Chelsea.

Until then though, it's congrats for Zara Phillips who is also expecting her first child with Mike Tindall.

SO MUCH HAPPY BABY NEWS! Ahem.
