As a nation of biscuit lovers, we're all partial to dunking a digestive.

But unsurprisingly, there's little nutrition to be found in a jammy dodger and most biscuits are high in sugar and saturated fat. Some can contain over a teaspoon of sugar per biscuit.

For a more nutritious and satisfying snack try having a banana instead. With their natural sugary taste you can still indulge your sweet tooth and pick up important vitamins and minerals at the same time.

Bananas are rich in potassium and vitamin B6. Potassium can help you feel energized and vitamin B6 will aid your metabolism and relieve nausea.

B6 is also vital to the development of your baby's brain and nervous system.

Not keen on bananas? Try a handful of blueberries instead, they're packed with vitamin C and vitamin K and are a great source of fibre.
