Glamour model Katie Price has given birth to her fourth child, a boy named Jett Riviera, eight weeks early following a terrifying emergency operation in a foreign hospital.
Katie was rushed to hospital after her amniotic sac tore leaving both mum and baby in danger. She was reportedly suffering from a life threatening infection that caused Jett's heart rate to plummet. Doctors decided the baby would need to be born immediately by an emergency caesarian section.
Thankfully, Katie and her husband Kieran Hayler welcomed baby Jett a few hours later weighing just 5lbs 2oz
Katie told the Mirror, "I went through a nightmare. The baby's heart rate was also really low. The next thing I know the nurse is in my room saying get ready now."
When Katie was dramatically rushed to hospital her hubbie Kieran was out shopping near their holiday home. But when he heard the news and made a dash to the emergency room nurses banned him from going into the theatre while she gave birth.
Katie told The Sun, "I was in a state. He's never seen me like that before. He must have thought his wife had turned into a lunatic... I was sobbing, 'I love you, I love you'."
The glamour model who's already mum to Harvey, 11, Princess, 6, and Junior, 8, revealed the doctors caring for her only spoke broken English. She admitted, "I was petrified but not one of the nurses came to hold my hand."
In another horrifying twist, Katie claims doctors didn't give her the proper injection to numb her stomach before the C-section.
Now, mum and baby are recovering abroad, but it could be weeks until they are deemed healthy enough to fly home. Jett has been taken to a special care unit and is said to be 'doing well'.
