Cybercom, Ireland’s leading digital advertising agency, beat off leading search marketing agencies in the UK to win the pitch to become the organic search agency for handbag.com

Cybercom's first project has involved making sure the re-launch of handbag.com does not affect its strong organic positioning. handbag.com is one of the leading website titles in the Hearst Digital Network, the digital publishing division of the National Magazine Company (NatMag).

With over 1.5 million unique readers per month, handbag.com is revamping with a new look, new focus and new editor, launching 10th September.

The new partnership means that Cybercom will also be working on other Hearst Digital brands including BabyExpert.com.

The win further expands Cybercom's footprint in the UK where clients already include Diageo and Open University.

According to Rob Reid, Director of Cybercom, "The UK is absolutely key for Cybercom's growth strategy. We have been developing our business one step at a time by working with some of the strongest brands in the country. We are delighted to win the Hearst digital business and to work on the re-launch of handbag.com as it is a major online force in the UK".

Claire Higgins, Brand manager Hearst digital says "Search engine optimisation is one of our primary marketing tools and it is important we get it right as successful SEO can have an enormous impact on the performance of your site.  A big redesign like the one we are delivering for handbag requires serious planning and Cybercom looked like the perfect agency for us to partner with.  They have a skilled team, are very responsive and were able to work with both our previous and new web developers.  We are really pleased with their work"
