To clarify, "unpublished writers" refers to anyone who has not signed a book deal with a publisher. If an entrant has previously written any published journalism, short stories or poetry, they are still eligible to enter. For individual international entrants, the entries can be sent to naomi.west@harpersbazaar.co.uk, but all UK entrants should submit as described. From Harper's Bazaar Features Team

The given word length of 2000 words is the upper limit. Stories submitted should be approaching this length, although it is not necessary for them to be of exactly 2000 words. Please do feel free to put your name and story title on each page if you would like, although it is not mandatory. Please do number each page and fasten together securely.
