2010 Oscar winners
The date for the most famous film awards ceremony has been announced and Sunday 7 March 2010 will see the A-list take to the red carpet once again to celebrate the winners and nominees of this year’s Academy Awards.
2009 saw Slumdog Millionaire walk off with the night’s big Oscars and its stars Freida Pinto and Dev Patel, along with director Danny Boyle, were catapulted into international stardom.
English rose Kate Winslet took home the Best Leading Actress Oscar for her role in The Reader while Sean bagged the Best Actor nod for his role in Milk. Spanish star Penelope Cruz was named the Best Supporting Actress while Heath Ledger was posthumously honoured with the Best Supporting Actor Oscar for his amazing portrayal as the Joker in Christopher Nolan’s The Dark Knight.
